Cost Segregation Study Specialist

Starting Wage:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload while answering phone inquiries from new and existing clients
• Engage with current and past clients if the possibility of Cost Segregation is approachable.
• Maintain and update client files with documents, confirmations and memorandums
• Help to create processes and network for Cost Segregation Studies
• Conduct thorough feasibility analysis understanding the taxpayers current tax position.
• Determine reliable estimates of potential benefits of performing a cost segregation study.
• Collect property information for buildings purchased by the taxpayer and buildings that were constructed or remodeled
• Analyze properties either physically or virtually to appraise and acquire images (travel required and provided)
• Review construction blueprints and other relevant documentation
• Complete reports or memorandums to include relevant tax law, methodology, study results, and a breakdown of value within depreciation class
• Maintain key systems and company database information
• Other duties as assigned specific to Cost Segregation process and potential filing

Requirements:

• Certifies Cost Segregation Professional certification (CCSP)
• Tax and Accounting experience
• Bachelors Degree in accounting, economics, engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred
• Minimum three (3) years experience in Cost Segregation Studies
• Remote Availability
• Travel Availability
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office 365
